The Heritage Circle, a local history group, meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7.30 PM in Rickinghall Village Hall, Hinderclay Road, IP221HD.
The group was founded 34 years ago and meetings are friendly and informal.
There is a speaker each month on a variety of subjects: halfway through the presentation, we take a break for refreshments and this is an opportunity to chat with fellow members.
The talks are a mixture of local and national topics of interest. Previous subjects on the programme have included Elizabeth Garret Anderson – Doctor and Mayor of Aldeburgh; The London Burial Crisis of the 19th Century; and The Old Courts and Yards of Norwich.
Membership costs £25 a year for eleven meetings. Non-members are very welcome and may pay £5 for a single.
More information is available from the Chair, Maggie Mittins-Ladd on 01379 890916.
